Overview
Hampi is situated in the medieval ruins on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in Karnataka with surreal and beautiful landscape. Vijayanagara, The City of Victory is under the World Heritage Site UNESCO. Although the city of Vijayanagara was destroyed by the Mughal’s in the 16th century, much of it remains today. Hampi Bazaar is a UNESCO-listed. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the ancient ruins spread over an area of 25 sq km. Many of which are located in Hampi Bazaar and the surrounding riverside area, including the city’s holiest temples and Ghats. Badami has many ancient Buddhist architecture and sculptures of Lord Vishnu. The majestic and mesmerizing aura of the Badami Caves and their huge boulders attracts tourist to visit. Agastya Lake and many small hills are visible from the caves which hold a fascinating attraction. Along the way, if you’re lucky, you’ll get a chance to see sunflower fields making your trip worthwhile.
